FIDE – North america learning series

In my role as research coordinator for FIDE – North America, I have helped shape and develop the Learning Series, which is an independent framework to evaluate the impact of Citizens’ Assemblies across North America.

The learning series uses surveys, observations, and interviews to gather evidence from assemblies to understand what works – and why. These case studies uncover practical lessons on design, participation, and impact, helping governments and practitioners strengthen deliberative processes.

Together with the Institute for Democratic Engagement and Accountability (IDEA), we have brought together an international team of researchers and practitioners to document, analyze, and share what makes Citizens’ Assemblies effective, inclusive, and trusted.
